After a year or so of research and browsing I decided the automatic mechanical watches I liked were out of my price range so I settled on this lovely blue chrono eco-drive. The watch also had to be moderately waterproof (at least 100m) because it would be in the water all the time. I wanted a new watch that didn't require a yearly battery change (plus the added price of pressure testing a waterproof watch) so my options were either automatic mechanical or a Citizen eco-drive. So far I am impressed with this watch, however I have only had it for a week so time will tell.

And only he can identify if the watches work properly. I am still going to give it to him as I know he likes the watches. It seems smaller than the one that I gave him before, even though the one that he already has is 38mm and this one is supposed to be 39mm but I didn't measure.

The dial is the right size for my boyfriend's wrist. I know that the band is not made in Japan like the movement, but still I did expected a new product covered with a plastic protector and once you remove it, it would be shiny and new. It shows the signs of being worn! So disappointed! The dial seems to be shiny and new, but the impression is already spoilt with the band. Finally, the first what I noticed about the watch was micro scratches all over the clasp on the band. The internal box (the round one) is cheaply made in China.

The outer box is not new, it's been used, open and closed, a number of times. Just got the watch and feel rather disappointed with the purchase.
